Looking back at the 2025 edition
For Sierre-Zinal 2025, a special night train was organized in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB).
This service allowed participants in the Tourist category, as well as supporters and spectators, to reach the start of the race in Sierre easily, directly, and sustainably.
The train connected Geneva to Sierre, stopping at the main stations along Lake Geneva and in the Valais.
It ran overnight from Friday, August 8 to Saturday, August 9, arriving in Sierre at 04:07, just in time for the first start waves.
The initiative was met with great enthusiasm and enabled many runners to travel stress-free while reducing their environmental impact.
Looking ahead to Sierre-Zinal 2026
Following the success of this first collaboration, Sierre-Zinal is exploring the possibility of offering another special night train for the 2026 edition.
The timetable, route, and booking details will be announced in spring 2026 on this page.

The little extra!
Upon arrival at Sierre train station, free shuttles are available at the bus stop in front of Restaurant Le Bourgeois (4-minute walk from the station) to take you directly to the start area.
If you haven’t collected your bib yet, please stop by the Hôtel de Ville de Sierre - Sierre Town Hall (3-minute walk from the station) before heading to the start.
