Traffic Restrictions

Several temporary road closures will be in place in the Val d’Anniviers on Saturday, August 8, 2026, to ensure participant safety and manage traffic flow efficiently.

The traffic restrictions apply to all vehicles, including motorcycles and bicycles.
The access road to Vissoie via Vercorin will remain open at all times.

Road Closure on the Route d’Anniviers from Sierre (both directions)

Traffic will be stopped on three occasions, including for motorcycles and bicycles:

• From 04:40 to 05:25 (Tourist race participants)
• From 05:40 to 06:25 (Tourist race participants)
• From 10:55 to 11:30 (Runner race participants)

Partial Traffic Restrictions for Travel from Zinal towards Sierre

To facilitate access to Zinal for spectators and supporters, downhill traffic towards the valley will be temporarily rerouted.

• Vissoie → Sierre
  Downhill traffic closed from 10:30 to 12:30
  Diversion via Vercorin

• Zinal → Vissoie
  Downhill traffic closed from 11:45 to 13:30
  Diversion via Grimentz

• Ayer → Chandolin
  Road closed from 06:00 to 14:00
  Please access Chandolin via Vissoie.
  The Ayer–St-Luc road is strongly discouraged during this period, as it will experience heavy traffic from vehicles travelling between Chandolin and Zinal.

Please follow all instructions issued by the authorities on site and allow extra travel time.
