WEDNESDAY 7 AUGUST in SIERRE AND at ZINAL
- Arrival of first invited elite guests at Zinal village
FRIDAY 9 AUGUST, downtown Sierre
- From 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Sierrois traders' market in rue Général-Guisan. The market also takes place on Saturday August 10 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and on Sunday August 11 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- As of 1:30 pm, Race Number retrieval at the Sierre Town-Hall for both the Children’s Race
and next day’s races. Opening of the Sierre-Zinal Village and free photos with your bib
- From 5 pm to 6:30 pm, Race of the Five Obstacles. Warm up courtesy of our partner IdéeSport
- 5:00 pm, Girls’ start (aged 4-5)
- 5:15 pm, Boys’ start (aged 4-5)
- 5:30 pm, Girls’ start (aged 6-7)
- 5:45 pm, Boys’ start (aged 6-7)
- 6:00 pm, Girls’ start (aged 8-9)
- 6:15 pm, Boys’ start (aged 8-9)
- 6:00 p.m., accredited press conference at Restaurant Le Bourgeois in Sierre
- 6:30 pm, Run & Sign Presentation
- 6:45 pm, Introduction of Elite Guest
Runners
- 7:15 pm, Children’s Race Award Ceremony in front of the Sierre Town-Hall
- 8:00 p.m., end of bib distribution
- followed by a festive evening at Couleur Pavé
SATURDAY 10 AUGUST, Sierre-Zinal Golden Jubilee
- From 4:45 am to 6:15 am, Tourist Category Start
- 10:15 am, Junior Race Start at Chandolin
- 11:00 am, Runner Category Start
- As of 1:25 pm, Arrival of first elite runners at Zinal
- 4:45 pm, Award Ceremony with Golden Jubilee musical performance and visual animation
- 5:45pm, Live DJ show
- 6:30 pm, the middle shot offered to all under the tent
- 8:00 pm, exclusive concert Les Waiters (free admission)
- 10:00, Live DJ (free admission)
- 12:00 am and 2:00 am, Lunabus departs from Zinal and serves Anniviers. The 2:00 am bus drives down to Sierre

TOURISTS, Saturday August 10th from Sierre
Exceptional momentary road closure between Finges start area and the Anniviers Valley at 4:40 am
- Starting block 1 start time: 4:45 am
- Starting block 2 start time: 5:00 am
- Starting block 6 start time: 5:15 am
Exceptional momentary road opening between the start area at Finges and the Anniviers valley from 5:25 to 5:40 am
Exceptional momentary road closure between Finges start area and the Anniviers Valley at 5:40 am
- Starting block 4 start time: 5:45 am
- Starting block 5 start time: 6:00 am
- Starting block 6 start time: 6:15 am
The road between the start area at Finges and the Anniviers Valley reopens at 6:25 am
- Runners are seeded into starting blocks through Datasport’s timing sytem based on their estimated running time and previous SZ results. You will be notified of your start time via a personal e-mail at least a week prior to the race (to be confirmed).
- Starting block changes will result in disqualification.
- Athletes should arrive at the Start Area 30 minutes before their start time.
RUNNERS, Saturday August 10th from Sierre
Exceptional momentary road closure between Finges start area and the Anniviers Valley at 10:55 am
- Starting block “invited elites” start time: 11:00 am
- Starting block 1 start time: 11:00 am
- Starting block 2 start time: 11:10 am
- Starting block 3 start time: 11:20 am
The road between the start area at Finges and the Anniviers Valley reopens at 11:30
- For security reasons cut-off times must be abided (see below).
- Runners are seeded into starting blocks through Datasport’s timing sytem based on their estimated running time and previous SZ results. You will be notified of your start time via a personal e-mail at least a week prior to the race (to be confirmed).
- Starting block changes will result in disqualification.
