Athletes Guide
Anti-Doping Education
The WMRA continue to work to make sure we are all able to have fair competition.
L'Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) together with the WMRA have prepared the Trail and Mountain Running guide explaining what you need to do, and what are your rights and responsibilities when it comes to anti-doping testing. It also helps you with information about what you are allowed to take and where you can get this information.
Eg. Did you know that you need to write on a testing form all of the medication and supplements you are taking? So taking a note of your supplements and having this with you at the races will help make the process easier for you. This is one of many things that the guide can help you with.
The topics covered in the guide include:
- What is the AIU?
- What is Doping?
- Prohibited List
- Supplement Use
- Medication Use
- Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE)
- How Testing Works.
- Responsibilities & Rights of Athletes
Please read and share with others and your coaches and support team so that everyone is better informed about the process of fair play in our sport and we can all make a difference to make our sport fair.
